Hey, please don’t ignore my caption, I have something to say. (Really thought this would fit in one post but it’s in three so please have a read!)
My jaws dropped when I saw that video of GEORGE FLOYD. Every single video ive ever watched especially where police officers put their entire weight on a HUMAN being, my jaws has dropped as it was the first time ive seen a video like this. I end up having no words when I see no mercy from white police officers, judges, people in public treating a coloured person the way they do. Not because I don’t have anything to say but rather the fact that it just doesn’t comprehend me. It doesn’t make sense. A silly example but in my head it’s literally like 100 + 200 = 2. Doesn’t make sense right? Doesn’t add up? Doesn’t work? So backwards? So obscure? Nothing in the universe that actually makes sense!
I remember this is vividly, in year 3, When I learnt about slavery in primary school, it never worked well with me. I would sit through class not understanding the content, not because I was a child but because it didn’t make sense to me. I didn’t understand what I was learning. I didn’t understand why what happened happened. Again, the equation for me was basically equivalent to 500 x 200 = 0. I didn’t understand why we had to learn that black people had to go through what they did BECAUSE of their colour. This was me at the age of 8. I didn’t understand why colour was a issue, a problem, a syemtatic hierarchy created. It just didn’t make sense. The inequality between rich and poor, everyone kinda gets it, as in its occurring because the richer are getting richer through x y z means and the poor are getting poorer because of x y z. But inequality between colour???????? What explanation is there??? There is nothing In the WORLD that makes that sound right. Its ok to hate the rich because they can selfish but to hate someone with a different colour from you? Why? Wtf have they done??????

Till this day it amazes me that people think and differenciate the way they do. You’re not god. You’re no one to pick on ones colour. Yes you’re worth it, as a human that was created by god (if you don’t believe in god, then whatever you think created you whether it was evolution or universe whatever!) you are meaningful but not to the extent where you think you are superior to someone despite colour, race, religion, abilities. If colour was meant to matter, god (or whatever universe you think created this world) would have stuck to one colour. But no. there are so many shades of us, so many abilities, so many races, so many cultures. Diversity exists, not on the basis of superiority but on the basis of equality.
I don’t know if any of this is making sense because im basically writing what has been in my mind for years but im heartbroken and I just wanted at least a person who didn’t understand before, to understand where im coming from. That colour isn’t a definition of a human being!!! A person is a person, we all sleep the same way, breathe the same way, eat the same way, shit the same way, born the same way, die the same way, we're all the same. A occupation is just a label, something you either earned or worked hard for or just casually applied too, it doesn’t make you more inferior to take peoples lives. Occupation doesn’t take over the power of human beings!!! You are NO ONE to be taking peoples lives, disregarding people’s lives, especially ESPECIALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN it comes to skin colour. You are NO ONE to decide that a black criminal should be life sentenced but a white criminal should be allowed max 3 months, lucky if even got BAILED.
This doesn’t just apply to colour, this applies to gender, disabilities, and so so so much more. Please treat one another with respect - just imagine you’re looking at yourself, you don’t want someone treating you differently, so why do it to another person, a breathing human thats exactly like you.

I pray to god these differences will go one day. That more and more people will realise, they’ll have to. They have to realise it doesn’t add up, there is no perfect reason as to why one should discriminate. -
Its not even about knowledge anymore, its common sense. Its not growing into the racist ideologies, its accepting one another regardless of how they look, act, from. Just remember the reality of it, removing all the political and societal nonsense, morally: everyone is actually the same and deserves to be treated the same, not higher, not lower, the SAME. Black lives matter. They are PEOPLE. HUMANS. LIVING BREATHING HUMANS. They deserve equal treatment please don’t differentiate them nor anyone. It’s just not fair please realise it’s just not fair.
Please do all you can to make a change. This current situation is the best time to make people realise that black lives matter. Equality matters. Justice is needed, for every single black person that has been treated inhumanly all around the world. Please. Sign petitions. Donate. Share. Educate. Teach. Evaluate. And remember those, who went through it all.
