Autumn Must Haves

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

It has been a while since I've posted but there was so much going on in my life that I couldn't find the time to post properly [trust me, this post was written in august and was ready to be posted in September!😭) but after recently reconstructing my page as well as my logo, hopefully I'll get to be posting every Sundays 8pm - so lets get into it!

Autumn is approaching (HAS APPROACHED, I REPEAT *HAS APPROACHED* it's actually nearly winter, no sorry its winter to me) and unfortunately after having such great weather during the summer, once it hit September, there was no slow transition but rather than a quick switch from 30* to the Grey clouds and breezy days.

I thought to make a post about autumn must haves to help you guys get ready for the fall; whether its through a statement piece or a full outfit. In Autumn, the main item we’re going to be always wearing is a coat/jacket so picking the perfect one will help your outfit look like its fall-ready.

[Although this post was made for autumn, I feel like this can defo be used for winter too - tbh for winters the only difference is just a lot more knitted clothing but the concepts are pretty much the same!]

🍁 BIKER JACKET - biker jackets can be used almost in any type of way, this is a good throw over jacket for those casual af days whether its a set of joggers and a hoodie or a top with a pair of jeans for during the day or for a evening look you can always pair it with pleated skirts or a long flowing wrap dress.

🍁 LONGLINE COATS - this is more on the modest side I guess as well as it giving such cute autumn vibes - again this goes well with anything and everything, I love longline coats especially the ones that are kinda oversized with belt and a slit at the back because it gives such a a effortless look.

🍁 GILLETS - this is for the times you got sleeves you want to show off but can’t because a jacket is always hiding them - this used to fustrate me because I would have the cutest design on my sleeves but its not visible so I found Gillet is the easiest way to showcase them as well as adding a little chic feel to the outfit - usually best fitted with black jeans or black leather trousers.

🍁 THROW OVER CARDIS - if you’re a person that thing we shouldn’t be wearing coats already, these will be the best choice for you as its good way to keep yourself warm but also not suffocating your outfit with a massive coat/jacket thus a cardigan can give a cute vibe to any sort of outfits.

🍁 FUR COATS - if you're someone who loves to keep warm but still wants to look good, fur coats are the way to go, they go well with everything, keeps you looking chic and keeps you warm, what better coat to grab onto?!

🍁 BLAZERS - I feel like the fall is the best for double breasted blazers or oversized blazers, capes, ect. They also give outfits that extra chic feel just by it being a statement item. You could literally wear a black top and jogger pants and wear a beige blazer and it’ll just nicely finish off the outfit; you can literally wear it with anything and anywhere.

Aside from the jacket and coats, there are some basic items which is well needed for the autumn (as well as winter) season;

❄️ Jumpers - most likely brown/beige shades - I feel like autumn is all about those nice beigey browny shades which is great because they’re my fave colours to wear and these colour usually go well with black which is even better bc whats a better colour to wear then black?!

❄️ Hoodies - you’re gonna need these for the lazy days but you can still make it look good by wearing biker jacket, on top or even a Gillet.

❄️ High knee boots / Chelsea boots - Chelsea boots are a must, as it gives off autumn vibes as well as finishes off a chic look and high knee boots are great for those oversized jumpers with a pair of jeans or even leggings for those lazy days.

❄️ High neck tops - obviously fall is when its colder and what best way to keep yourself warm through high neck tops - as well as that it just screams fall season and it goes well with anything and everything.

❄️ Pleated skirts - these midi pleated skirts have been on trend recently and normally something like a pleated skirt with a pair of biker jacket or blazer with a plain top and trainers or boots usually does the trick

❄️ White trainers - if boots are not for you or you want something more comfortable then white trainers are the one as you can wear something as plain but those white trainers will give it a pop of colour and finishing off a basic look into more of a casual look. Airforces or Stan smiths are usually popular hence why I own them myself!

❄️ Hats - caps are more popular than ever now, that goes for beanies aswell - NY CAPS literally will finish off your look I'm telling y'all now.

So keep warm people and I hope that helps even the slightest bit and here is some photos of my own to use as inspo - enjoy!
