Realist Review: Rozay Lounge

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

One of the most instagrammable place (obviously halal) which has been around since February 2019 which has been a hype for vibes, great food and a typical mandate picture with the teddy on the swing. It all sounded so tempting so I thought I’d give it a try.

So when we reached there, the shisha area is actually much larger than the dining area which I found surprising because the pictures make it all seem like it’s equally as large but it still gave such cosy vibes so it wasn’t something that anyone would have complained about.

We was a group of 6 which reserved a table inside (obviously because we was never smoking nor do we💁🏽‍♀️) half of us was late and the other half was present so the ones present thought to order on behalf of the other three whilst being on the phone to them. Whilst we was very very confusing and kept changing our orders every second, the waiter was very VERY patient 🤣 and advised us to do this if we wanted that which was really nice because it’s always best when people who work at restaurants are so accommodating especially when you’re so indecisive which happens when it comes to big groups.

Majority of us ordered the Persian Butterfly Chicken which came along with veggies, salad and the option of rice and chips (£12.00) and when it came to drink; we was slightly confused because it showed alcoholic drinks but to make it a mocktail they’ll just remove the alcohol from the certain drinks. We originally wanted the blue lagoon as we were always opting for a strawberry mojito however they didn’t actually have the blue syrup that was needed for that drink so most of us ordered a strawberry mojito mocktail (typical behaviour) and one Rozay special candy floss drink (both prices at £6.00) and a Ferrero milkshake! (£5.00)

As basic as we thought the mojito would be, it actually banged; I am in love with sour drinks and this one was so tangy and sour along side with the strawberry flavour, it just was one of the best mojitos I’ve had in a while! And the rozay drink is more on the sweeter side, it's literally candy floss being turned into a drink!

The Persian butterfly chicken is probably also the best I’ve had in while, I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was so succulent and not drying at all; the sauces tasted really good; again the people who worked at rozay lounge was just so accommodating with what we wanted which made the whole experience so lovely. One of my friends got the falafel plate as a meal and she didn't like it much so I really really really recommend getting the butterfly chicken because of flavour and taste!

Strawberry Mocktail [£6] | Persian Butterfly Chicken [£12]

Lastly we asked for desserts which we asked for the cake of the day [£5.00]; the option was red velvet or some hazelnut cake so we opted with the red velvet. It was presented so nicely with a little bucket of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles which I found so cute. The cake tasted like any other velvet cake, but the combo with ice cream just made it much betterrrr.

So would I go there again? The answer is YES.

✌🏻 ATMOSPHERE: 10/10

🍹 DRINKS: 9/1O

⭐️ OVERALL RATING: 9/10

It's an instagrammable place if you like places like that, such cute vibes especially when you go with the right people, banging food, and amazing service to top it all off!
