Finding a bargain actually requires hard work of researching and comparing a lot of things to get the best deals possible. But as a student, life can be a tad more easier with the privileges we have! We all know about student discounts but do we all know about student beans? I didn’t until last year and it helped me quite a lot because if the store I’m looking for on UNiDAYS isn’t there then it’s most likely going to be on studentbeans. Signing up is easy, just like unidays, make sure you have a valid university email.

Another way is checking your junk emails. As annoying as it is to receive so much nonsense, whenever I actually look through them, I find out about so many discounts, promotions going on, a special code for me; especially with ubereats where they provide free delivery codes for me now and then which I love because I hate paying for delivery! You can also find discount codes on other things through this website; https://discountcode.dailymail.co.uk - just write down in the search bar your store and see if it comes up!
Moreover, things like monthly trials can be super useful whether it’s for Netflix or deliveroo or even amazon. Deliveroo provides free delivery for two weeks if you agree to their trial they have for that as well as amazon aswell with their next day delivery (can be super useful if you need something urgently)
Another useful website is ebay; it’s something I’ve wanted to stress about because it helps me when I can’t find a specific thing else where. People get confused thinking that ebay is a second hand store; it isn’t, it’s literally a market of people selling either their second hand stuff OR if you find sellers selling brand new things, you just have to find the correct people to buy off.
When searching for a product, I always click on "buy now" as it gives you the easiest results that are reliable and quick to buy because who wants to wait months for one thing please???? Unless you want to bid for a product (which I don't know how it actually works) when you're best off clicking "All."
The best way to not get ripped off and make sure is is new is to press on any product and look down on the page whether it says its “used” or “brand new with a tag” or “brand new”. Also another thing to look out for is the reliability of the seller. I normally always buy from anyone who has the rating from 94%-100%, nothing lower!! Ebay is the best place to go to if you can’t find something specific in other stores, I always buy my arts and crafts things from there as well as any small things that I can’t find anywhere else; amazon is another alternative too but that’s much easier navigate through.
Lastly, I want to stress about treatwell and how amazing it is. For any deals to do with spas, massage, facials, treatwell got your back. It comes with the maddest discounts at reasonable timings where you can pick yourself unlike with wowcher where they allocate you a date and time which can be super annoying if you’ve booked it but then realise your actually not free; it’s like you have to be flexible for them but on treatwell they’re flexible for you! I did a microdermabrasion facial with steaming for only £44 which I found a bargain because the lady I had was super nice as well as doing such a good job and giving such great advice. It was also just a minute walk from my home, so everything was just perfect and worked out well.
I hope these small tricks help you get best possible deals without getting ripped off and wasting those £££, comment down any other secret websites you guys love using!
Forever & Always, T x
