Every time its exam season, I have 100 things to do and visit during the summer but always forget to write it down. Now its summer, I have nothing to do with my life hence why im starting my blog loooooooool.
But on a serious note, the next few points hopefully will give you a wide range of things to do especially in London - I feel like people who live in London don’t really take that to advantage. I used to hate living in London but then I realise its my own fault because I didn’t used to explore it enough. Once you become more active, you realise there is actually SOOOOOO much to do in London and the list im about to give you isn’t even half of it, but here we go!
1. Go Karting
Go karting is great fun for those who are competitive, regardless if you passed driving or not! Its a fun way to get together and see who sucks at driving and if you’d like a safe option, just go for bumper cars! Where: TeamSport Go - theres a lot of these scattered around London.
2. Bowling / ice skating
This is quite basic but when you actually play it, especially with the right people, its quite fun.
Where: Queens - Queensway which do both, you can also go to Alexandra palace for a large rink for ice skating or Westfields [White City or Stratford] for bowling.
3. Escape rooms
This is hella lit for those know-it-alls. It’ll get quite messy but its such a laugh to see who was really right in the end and who wasn’t! It can be quite expensive in smaller groups but with this company, the larger the group, the cheaper it is and theres a range of options to choose from!!
Where: Escape London - there are two locations depending on the theme of the game; shepherds Bush and Shadwell
4. Pit-balls
This place is super cheap for.. hours of fun with a ball pit, music and strangers! You can have fun by having a ball fight whether it is with your friends or whoever in the room, alongside with food and drinks on the side. Where: Ballie Ballerson - Hackney
5. Roller skating indoors
This is available in Wembley as far as I am aware! So 80’s and would be hilarious to see your friends fall on their faces (im kidding but not kidding because I actually die so hard when I see people fall)
Where: Silverspoon Rollerdisco - Wembley
6. Parks
Now theres so many parks in London and we must take advantage of it! ITS FREE SO WHY NOT! However, there are activities you can do such as Cycling with Santander bikes in HYDE PARK, you could also have BBQ’s in CHISWICK or HOLBORN park. You can also go on boats in HYDE PARK or REGENTS PARK or you can visit the Japanese Garden in Holland Park, or even go deer spotting in Richmond park, idk its just a idea..
7. Views of Nature,
If you really want to connect with nature, visit either Mayfield Lavender Farm or Walthamstow Wetland - they’re both instagrammable and different to other so called parks out there.
Where: Mayfield Lavender Farm - Banstead | Walthamstow Wetland - hint: its in the name xox
8. Markets
I love this idea so much because during my high school and college days, with my free travel [rip I miss u so much] I used to visit markets with my friends and just do window shopping really; its actually great fun with the right people. Its also great for instagramable pictures which im sure you nerds love doing x x x
Where: Camden Market, Portabello Market, Brick-Lane Market, Brixton
9. Trampolining
Whether thats in your backyard or at oxygen, either way is fun! Oxygen and Flip-out are great places to mess around with your mates as well as having a healthy physical fight on the standing bar with sponges underneath you to save the sore loser!
10. Laser Tag
This is. a. MUST! I went for my 20th birthday with a large group of friends and it was honestly my best birthday ever because of how much fun I had! We also had groups of kids playing with us, at first we was like wow great but DO NOT EVER UNDERESTIMATE THEM! They were more competitive than us!!!! They added onto the fun we have and it was just so funny and hilarious, its just a must I cannot emphasis!! Where: Bunker 51 - Greenwich
11. Top Golf
Tv always made the impression that golf is for boring men who have nothing to do with their lives but do not believe on those myths. Again, playing with the right people makes it so lively and as well as that, theres different types of top golfs, it can be a wife space or actually a golf course Where: Greenwich Peninsula Golf Range -Greenwich | Crazy Putt London - Greenwich | Junkyard Golf Club -Brick Lane | Puttshack - White city | TopGolf Chigwell - Chigwell
12. Karaoke
Karaoke can be a laugh to take the mick out of your friends horrible singing voice from the different options of songs available!
Where: AllStar Lane - Holborn, Stratford, White city and Bricklane
13. Kew Gardens
Why not visit the world leading botanic garden, explore the different plants out there and make sure to get that picture thats worth posting! Obviously, enjoy the views of these plants because as mentioned its the world leading botanic garden, a lot of ourists travel to London just for this!
Where: Kew Gardens - Richmond
14. Sight Seeing in Central London
Another thing I used to do quite a lot, and still do without ever getting bored - just visit central London! So many things to see and explore such as Trafagular Square, busy streets of Picaddily Circus, go on a shopping spree in Oxford street /Bond Street/, visit china town as well as carney street and don’t forget covent garden’s apple market!
15. TOURISTY THINGS
Sounds so tourist, I know but why not visit London zoo with your loved ones! 16. Views for days
Catch the most beautiful sunset and views in London at the Sky Garden (WHICH IS FREE BTW!!) as well as the The Shard with their student discounts, the typical London eye if you must. Also, if you really want to go all out, why not catch the boat at Westminster, even book in 2 for 1 tea which I'm sure you can find cheap vouchers on treatwell or wowcher!
Where: Sky Garden - Monument/Tower Hill | The Shard - Southwark | London Eye - Waterloo
17. Museums
London is known for their mass of museums that we have over here! We have a rangeeee which varies from art to design to science to history to technology to history to even transport! Some are free and some which you’d have to pay but most are free entry where there might be some to pay but its okay, you don’t have tp visit those parts :P
Where: V&A - South Kensington | British Museum - Bloomsbury | Natural History Museum - South Kensington | Science Museum - South Kensington | Design Museum - Kensington High Street | Transport Museum - Covent Garden | Tate Modern - Southwark
18. Theatre
Watching the theatre is something we don't take advantage off, I know I took advantage of it but in the wrong way when I had front view seats to lion king in year 10 as our business trip, I actually started paying attention half an hour before it finished and regret it so bad! Hopefully one day I'll get to watch something else but finding reasonable price for really good seats is hard! For alternatives, you can always visit lyrics theatre where they always have plays going on as well as a beautiful rooftop to see the whole of Hammersmith.
Another option is obviously cinemas which you can get £5 tickets for any VUE cinemas if you go on a Monday! All you have to do is sign up as a member and show them your code, ITS THAT EASY.
Where: Theatres are scattered all across London but theres a lot of them in Leicester Square | Lyrics Studio - Hammersmith | VUE - literally everywhere and anywhere.
19. Waterparks
This is something that I will forever enjoy no matter how old ill get! So many places that do mini water fountains coming from the floor such as Sommerset, London Bridge, Paddington. Also, another actual water park is in Kensington Memorial Park, its been my childhood go to till this day.
Where: Kensington Memorial Park - North Kensington
20. Climb In London
Go ape is so popular, so is Clip n Climb in Chelsea! Another alternative can be Rock Climbing in Westway, or even climbing up The Millennium Dome Millennium Way for those who love a thrill - there is also Zip lining in Lambeth, again for those who love a thrill! Where: Go Ape is located Battersea, Cockfosters & Alexandra Palace. Now it might not be exactly twenty things, probably a lot more options than you thought but I really hope it helps making your summer worthwhileeee!
Comment down any other things that I've missed out for others!
Forever & Always, T x
